Dolos, a trickster god, rules the next ten days as a kind of Lord of Misrule. Can we distinguish Truth from Falsehood? What do the paw prints in the snow tell us about how each of them moves in the world?

Dolos, Prometheus's apprentice and a trickster spirit, is credited with making an exact lookalike of the goddess Truth from clay — and his Titan master breathed into his apprentice's work, thus bringing Falsehood to life. The myth says that just one of the sisters has bad feet, though: is that because Falsehood can't stand on her own legs for long? Or is that because Truth is only able to travel slowly?

The ancient Greeks gave Pisces II to Dolos and said it was administered by Jupiter — a reminder that we should check the feet of any story we hear in the next ten days, as the Sun enters Pisces II "The Net" tomorrow, 2/28/2024 at 9:44 pm EST.

Dolos, a spirit of trickery (but not exactly a trickster spirit in the sense of Coyote or Anansi from other myth traditions) rules the next days from 28 February to 10 March. An apprentice to Prometheus, he saw to it that Truth and Falsehood looked almost the same — except for bad feet, so one can only totter along, and one can only run. Except, the myths don't agree on which is the athlete and which one is the stumbler. Check your sources, don't believe everything you hear, and share information with judicious caution.
